History
Ardens began with the leadership of FOCUS Europe — the European arm of the Fellowship of Catholic University Students. A decade of experience and investment by FOCUS proved that this method works on campuses in Europe: four countries, twelve dioceses, more than a thousand students in Bible studies, and over fifteen religious vocations.
In 2026, FOCUS passed the torch to local European leadership for better scalability and cultural fit. Eighteen FOCUS-trained missionaries are staying on to preserve the DNA of the mission. Ardens is a European-based independent association, carrying forward this method of mission on a structure built for partnering with the local Church in Europe.
